The Cause of Snoring

Snoring, a bothersome problem . In general, it is not hazardous, but it should at least be investigated by a physician. Here are the cause of snoring.

When snoring is – sometimes very loud and produces crackling – breath sounds. We distinguish between primary snoring and obstructive. The former affects the sleep quality of the person concerned not with obstructive snoring, the person concerned is facing is having breathing interruptions of more than ten seconds. In the brain, it promises an arousal, which is vital – to prevent a suffocation – but due to the continuous awake reactions it comes to a sleeping disorder, which results in the further course to poor concentration, decreased strength and lack of sleep. So you should treat the so-called sleep apnea necessarily.

There are several causes of snoring. Often, even relatively mundane causes such as colds and various allergies or a sinus infection cause snoring.

But even a crooked nasal septum or enlarged and inflamed palate and tonsils can arise  snoring. And overweight can lead to snoring indirect because it occurs in overweight individuals to an increased fat deposition in the throat and this narrows the airways further.

All these factors are intensified by a supine sleeping position, since it decreases the tongue back and relaxes all the muscles of the upper respiratory tract, leading to a vibration of the uvula (soft palate) does. This vibration triggers the typical snoring sound.

In addition, snoring alcohol consumption (and its consequences will be), and by taking sleeping pills and antihistamines  (drugs used to treat allergies) increasingly, as the soft palate relaxed by it.

With increasing age, increasing for various reasons can snore. About 60% of men and 40% of women are affected.

Snoring is not harmful  to the health in most cases, mostly harmless causes behind it, but the clarification of the causes should be undertaken by a doctor to rule out worse.

Find the doctor if you are also affected. Your bed neighbor will thank you.
